〜にとって (for / from the standpoint of)
にとって evaluates something from someone’s point of view: “for X, this is…”
この仕事は私にとって大切です。
This job is important for me.
子供にとって、遊びは勉強です。
For children, play is study.
Do not use にとって for a physical destination or a person you speak to. Wrong: 駅にとって行く. Use に. Wrong as “toward a person you address”: use に対して for attitude.
