Formal Business Requests (~いただく)

Pattern: [Verb て-form] + いただく

Respectful request, formally asking someone to do something

  • いそがしいところ、ご確認かくにんいただけますでしょうか。 - "While you are busy, might we request your confirmation?"
  • この資料しりょう確認かくにんしていただきたいのですが。 - "We would like you to review this material."

Formal Notifications (~いたします / ~させていただきます)

~いたします (Formal action/intention):
  • 明日、成果報告せいかほうこくをさせていただきます。 - "Tomorrow, we will provide a results report."
~させていただきます (Very formal permission/action):
  • 遅刻ちこくさせていただきます。申し訳ございません。 - "We request to be late. We sincerely apologize."

Email Closings and Professional Phrases

Common email endings:
  • 検討けんとうのほど、よろしくお願いいたします。 - "We appreciate your consideration."
  • 多忙たぼうのところ申し訳ございませんが… - "We apologize for troubling you while you're busy, but..."
